Firstly, all the oils we retail are GC-MS tested. And once they’re with you, they’ll keep their scent and healing properties for longer thanks to our double-protection essential oil bottles, which combine amber glass with white coating to protect their precious contents from UV damage.

GC-MS Testing

We source our 100% pure oils from reputable suppliers, then send them to a third-party lab in Switzerland for GC-MS testing. GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry) is a method used to perform a deep analysis on essential oils, ensuring they are free of contaminants and impurities. These checks are of particular importance when the essential oil will be used for therapeutic and aromatherapy purposes.

To carry out the checks, our Swiss friends first vaporize the oil and turn it into its gas form. They then separate out the various compounds of the oil to analyze and measure them, making sure every component of the product is supposed to be there. This ensures the oils you receive are pure, unadulterated and of an exceptional quality, without the presence of contaminants, or diluents that would compromise the oil’s pureness.

Unique Bottle Design

Most essential oils are sold in amber bottles to protect the liquid from deterioration from UV rays. While we also use amber glass, we wanted to go one step further to ensure O’Natur essential oils keep their 100% purity and quality.

O’Natur bottles feature a distinctive white coating which reflects UV rays, preventing them from entering the bottle and compromising the quality of the essential oil over time. And as an extra little touch, we’ve included a vertical strip at the back of the bottle so you can always see how much is left.
